To Whom It May Concern:
If you consider yourself finicky and want things done right, the first time, we have a lot in common. I had the occasion to have my windshield replaced on my Hyundai Azera 24 Jun 2010. Having been through this evolution, more than once over the years (been driving for 45 of them), I took the time to find a company that would go the extra mile. My initial call to the insurance company resulted in the name of a nation wide company with a local installer. I deferred and told them I wanted to do a little research before selecting. A call to the local car dealer and check on the internet led me to Superior Auto Glass. I called the insurance company, gave them the name and was told they were an Approved installer; whom they called and made the authorization. The company called to setup an appointment and assured me the glass would meet or exceed the original factory glass; it turned out to be PILKINGTON SOLAR, which according to the internet is a first rate glass. The installer arrived at the appointed time, explained exactly what he was going to do and commenced the replacement. He took care not to damage my car while removing the old windshield, cleaned up the residue (produced a Shop Vac, plugged it converter in his truck) and made sure all was cleaned both inside and out. After that he removed the old seal, cleaning while he went, cleaned the well where the window sits with some type of cleaner, the completely primed the well making sure there was no area that could rust (I had never seen this done before and it went a long way toward the WOW factor), and ran a large bead of a special window sealer (I would say caulk, but it wasn't anything I have ever seen before. It was specifically designed for windshields and had a tip he screwed on the tube which produced a 1/2in bead to a peak.) completely around the opening. He then cleaned the new windshield and further used some sort of fluid to activate the black around the inside of the windshield. He then produced a factory seal (it was still in the Hyundai packaging) that he adhered to the top of the windshield. I questioned this and was told there are cheaper after market seals he could have used but preferred to do the job right. Next came the suction cups to move the windshield into place, which he did taking great care to ensure it was exactly placed. During this period, the trash truck came through to pickup my household trash and I suggested he get rid of whatever trash he wanted at that time; my guess, being a perfectionist it wasn't within his way of doing business. He politely declined and said he would take it with him and dispose of it. All-in-all, they exceeded my expectations. No leaks, no problems, no concerns, and I couldn't provide a greater recommendation than use Superior Auto Glass of Tampa Bay! - D. Clarke New Port Richey, FL
Linda, Thank you so very much for the awesome repair on the windshield of my 2010 Genesis. - Allan, New Port Richey, FL
Linda, I can not say "Thank You" enough for the extra miles you went to help keep my Toyota Tundra original. I know my insurance company did not want to pay for the dealer glass. I found it most interesting to be listening to your persistence with the insurance company to replace the windshield with the dealer glass. I believe most people would not have taken the time you did to fulfill my request and for that I am most appreciative!! Your technician was awesome and explained what he would do before beginning the job. When completed he explained everything before asking me to sign the paperwork and informed that the vehicle could be driven away safely in a hour and asked me if I had any questions or concerns! Can't tell the windshield was replaced. THANK YOU, - David R., Tarpon Springs, FL
